WEEK SIX HIGH SCHOOL RANKINGS EXPLAINED


Monday September 24th, 2023


Every week the MIHSSCA rankings are released on Sundays LIVE on the Michigan Soccer Network Youtube channel at 8 PM.


In week six we saw 41 changes in total in all four divisions. We saw nine NEW teams come in and out for all four divisions and had two new #1 ranked teams in Division 1 and Division 3.

A LOOK AT THE FIRST SIX WEEKS

The sheet above shows you the all the changes over the past six week in all divisions. Over the first six weeks we have seen nine #1 rank changes in all divisions. We have seen 164 total changes overall this ranking season.



DIVISION ONE


A new #1 Ranked team as Clarkston fell to Oxford last week in an OAA RED match led to 12-0-2 Berkley to take the #1 spot for the first time this season and for the second time in school history.


NOTABLES

Clarkston High School REMAINS #1 for the 3RD consecutive week

Two Teams in and Two teams out

Ann Arbor Pioneer moves into Top 15 at #5

Rockford comes back in this week at #15

Rochester Adams and Royal Oak out

DIVISION TWO

This week only saw 2 changes in total with one team in and one team out. Richland Gull Lake remains the #1 team for the third consecutive week. New Boston Huron (10-4-0) hops into the Top 15 at #14

New Boston Huron into Top 15

Girbraltar Carlson drops out

DIVISION THREE


This week Division three only saw 13 total changes. Three new teams came in and out. For the first time Division 3 has a new #1 Ranked Team. Detroit Country Day takes over the number one spot over Hudsonville Unity Christian.

Wyoming Lee, Almont and Gladwin make it into Top 15

Eaton Rapids, Ann Arbor Greenhills and Macomb Lutheran drop out

DIVISION FOUR


This week Division Four saw 12 changes overall, but Grosse Pointe University Liggett and West Michigan Christian stay at #1 and #2 for the fourth consecutive week. This week we saw three new comers to the Top 15.

Harbor Springs, Plymouth Christian and Manchester in

Marcellus Howardsville Christian, Holland Black River and Battle Creek Academy out
