ROYAL OAK, Mich. – This time it was Pierre Lurot that came through with the heroics.
The Flint City Bucks forward was substituted into the game in the second half and came through with the game-tying goal in the Bucks’ 1-1 draw Saturday night with home-standing Oakland County FC in an USL-League Two match at Royal Oak High School.
Oakland County FC (3-7-1) scored in the second half off a goal from Braden Stevanovic to give OCFC the 1-0 advantage.
Ranked second in the USL-League Two Power Rankings entering the week, Flint City (9-0-3) avoided its first loss with the late goal two minutes into stoppage time near the end of the second half.
The Bucks moved to 30 points with two games remaining and are one point behind Great Lakes Division leader Midwest United FC, which has completed its USL regular season schedule. A win in either of the two remaining games or two ties will give Flint City the Great Leakes Division title.
