ALLEN PARK, Mich. – Auburn Hills Oakland Christian remained very much in the Michigan Independent Athletic Conference race Tuesday afternoon.
The state-ranked Lancers rained down six goals on host Allen Park Inter-City Baptist and walked off the pitch with a 6-3 league victory.
Leah Zarrilli and Jessica Reyes both recorded the brace for Oakland Christian. Abby Franey and Val Santurtun also scored for the Lancers (9-2-0, 4-0-0), the only team in the league without a loss or tie in conference play.
Oakland Christian now owns a 59-14 scoring edge on the season. .
Amaya Provenzano scored twice and Jenna Smith also scored for Inter-City Baptist (4-3-1, 3-3-1).

SOUTHFIELD CHRISTIAN-NOVI CHRISTIAN UNIFIED 9, WARREN FITZGERALD 0: Avery Tepod scored twice and Grace Bell had a goal and three assists as the Eagles cruised to the non-conference win. Taylor Damptey, Anika Jaroszewski (one assist), Katherine Baligian, Emma Dean, Rayna Nadeau and Anna Foote were able to score single goals for Southfield Christian. Allison Miller, Julie Webber, and Claire Christopherson also had assists, while Kaitlyn Groh recorded one save for the shutout between the pipes.
ORCHARD LAKE ST. MARY’S 5, WIXOM ST. CATHERINE OF SIENA 0: Caroline Kopmeyer scored three goals, giving her nine on the season, and Cameron Cole upped her season total to 29 goals with the brace, as the Eaglets cruised to the Catholic High School League-AA Division victory Tuesday on the road and currently sit first in the league. Kira Howcroft and Kaylee Morton shared the shutout for OLSM, which has 10 clean sheets on the campaign.
BAY CITY WESTERN 8, FLINT CARMAN-AINSWORTH 0: Perhaps one of the best regular seasons in school history continued Tuesday night, as the Warriors cruised to the mercy-shortened victory in Saginaw Valley League play. Western improved to 14-2-1 and 5-1-1 overall in conference play, as the Warriors moved into third place with the win. Bay City Western picked up its 10th shutout of the season and have now outscored its opposition 52-12 on the campaign.
OVID-ELSIE 1, MONTROSE 0: The Marauders picked up a huge win in Mid-Michigan Activities Conference play Tuesday with this narrow victory over Montrose. The game featured the top two teams in the MMAC. Hailee Campbell scored the game’s only goal on a 30-yard rocket early in the contest and Sarah Newman and the Ovid-Elsie defense made it stand. Newman had four saves in the win for the Marauders (9-2-2, 5-0-0), who have a two-game cushion on Montrose.
AUBURN HILLS AVONDALE 5, WEST BLOOMFIELD 5: This OAA-Blue Division contest was a wild affair, as the two teams combined for 10 goals in this league draw. Freshman Maryann Stach and senior Marisa Jewell both scored twice and freshman Sophia Clark also scored for Avondale (0-8-3, 0-4-2).
SAUGATUCK 0, ST. JOSEPH OUR LADY OF THE LAKE CATHOLIC 0: These two non-conference foes decided little in this draw. Both teams were even on shots, possession and saves. Kennedy Gustafson recorded the shutout for Saugatuck (8-2-3), which is unbeaten in its last 10 games. The Trailblazers have recorded clean sheets in six straight games.
BIRMINGHAM MARIAN 5, ANN ARBOR FATHER GABRIEL RICHARD 0: Danielle Mertz and Charlie Bingham combined for a pair of saves and the Division 2 state-ranked Mustangs remained unbeaten in the Catholic High School League-Central Division with this lopsided win. Madeline Stenger, Frankie Kulpa, Agatha Valka, Bella Musachio and Giu Agrusso scored for Marian (8-2-3, 4-0-1), which is in first place in the division.
BRIGHTON LIVINGSTON CHRISTIAN 4, SALINE WASHTENAW CHRISTIAN 2: Livingston Christian improved to 8-2-0 overall and 4-1-0 in the Southeast Michigan Athletic Conference with this victory over the Wildcats. Audrey Johnston had three goals and an assist for the Falcons.
ALPENA 3, CADILLAC 2: Reese Wisiniewski had two goals and an assists and Alpena recorded the Big North Conference win. Kaylee Tweedale and Taylor Pennoni tallied for Cadillac and Lydia Owens recorded four saves in a losing effort for the Vikings.
LAINGSBURG 0, LANSING CHRISTIAN 0: The top two teams in the Central Michigan Athletic Conference squared off Tuesday and came away with this scoreless draw. Laingsburg (9-2-5, 8-0-1) recorded its 12th shutout of the campaign and have now outscored the opposition 54-9. Lansing Christian (8-3-2, 7-1-2) held on to second place in the league and recorded its eighth shutout of the season. The Pilgrims have outscored their opposition 38-9.
MACOMB LUTHERAN NORTH 2, ANN ARBOR GREENHILLS 0: The Mustangs improved to 11-0-2 on the year with this CHSL-AA Division victory over the Gryphons. Lutheran North, now ranked No. 3 in the state in Division 3, remained in 2nd place in the league with the shutout win. Logan Solo notched the shutout for the Mustangs.
BERKLEY 1, BIRMINGHAM GROVES 0: Madeline Welsh recorded her team’s sixth shutout of the season and Berkley remained in second place in the Oakland Activities Association-White Division with this clean sheet Tuesday. Berkley (10-1-4, 3-1-1) has now outscored its opposition 43-13 this season.
MOUNT PLEASANT SACRED HEART 7, BEAVERTON 0: The Irish are only in their fourth season of varsity play when it comes to girls soccer, but that hasn’t slowed them down on the pitch this year. Sacred Heart recorded shutout No. 5 on the campaign in this non-conference game. The Irish (8-3-1) are getting close to setting a school record for wins, as the Irish finished a respectable 9-5-0 last season. Sacred Heart has now outscored its opposition 52-12 this season. The Irish were 4-5-0 in 2022 and 2-2 in varsity games back in 2021.
BURTON GENESEE CHRISTIAN 5 ROMEO SUMMIT HOME SCHOOL MOUNTAINEERS 1: The Soldiers snapped a four-game losing streak with this win Tuesday over the Mountaineers. Genesee Christian moved to 4-5-1 with the win and now own a 26-18 scoring edge this season.
ROYAL OAK SHRINE CATHOLIC 3, GROSSE POINTE WOODS UNIVERSITY-LIGGETT 2: Hannah Lewless scored the first two goals and Leah Proctor added the other as the Knights led 3-0 at the half and held on for the CHSL-AA Division victory over the Knights. Elena Gallagher recorded the win in net for Shrine (7-2-4, 5-1-2), which has now outscored its opposition 31-12 this season.
MEMPHIS 5, CARO 1: Wins have not always come easy this season for Memphis, but it did gain this Greater Thumb Conference win Tuesday over Caro. Memphis closed the gap and have now only been outscored 27-19 this season.
KINGSFORD 4, HOUGHTON 0: Megan Bittinger scored two goals with an assist and the Flivvers recorded the UPSA victory Tuesday. Alaina Kowalski notched the shutout in net, as Kingsford moved to 4-3-0 on the season and 4-1-0 in league play. The Flivvers have outscored their foes 20-14 so far this season.
