SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The Premier Media Group (PMG) recently announced that its newest brand, the National Soccer Network (NSN), will be launched this fall and into the winter months.

PMG, formed in 2021 by a large partnership of sports-media and soccer enthusiasts around Michigan, are also the owners of the fast-growing Michigan Soccer Network. PMG’s National Soccer Network will soon be coming to a state near you.

The only full soccer-specific multimedia company that produces live stream games at nearly all levels of the rapidly-expanding soccer pyramid in the U.S., PMG operates a YouTube channel and a brand new Roku TV channel for its broadcast department, plus a quality news department led by a 31-year veteran, and so much more.

PMG has grown by leaps and bounds in three years with its flagship production in Michigan, the Michigan Soccer Network (MSN), which covers thousands of teams of various levels across the state of Michigan, and compiles and releases detailed game-day stories, features, enterprise pieces, editorials, player and team rankings, plus its popular High School Rankings Show, the first of its kind in Michigan for any sport that counts down the top boys soccer (fall) and girls soccer (spring) as presented by the Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association.

The National Soccer Network will follow the same format and template on both of its broadcast channels and websites.

Trademarks and copyrights have been applied for and issued to all of PMG’s companies and affiliates. The National Soccer Network’s website will roll out during the first quarter of 2025.

“It’s really the only one of its kind because while some networks do cover soccer, just not all levels. We cover high school and youth club right on up to professional soccer,” noted PGM Broadcast Director Jonathan Turner, a longtime Detroit-area native and former soccer player, coach, game official and media advertising executive. “We’ve done games in multiple levels and leagues, from the MHSAA, UPSL, USL League Two and right on up to college, amateur soccer, pre-professional soccer and so on. The demand for coverage is growing.

“We also have the means of broadcasting games in person or remotely in terms of play-by-play announcers, color analysts and producers which is another cost-reducing way of conducting broadcasts all over the country,” added Turner. “The camera operators can be on site but trained commentators don’t necessarily have to be in the press box or on the sideline. They can do it from our studio or anywhere over the world.”

PMG has broadcasts contracts for various games from Michigan High School Athletic Association member schools (YouTube-only), USL-League Two, USL-W League, United Premier Soccer League (UPSL), National Independent Soccer Association (NISA), Midwest Premier League (MWPL), Michigan Soccer Association (MSA), Women’s Super League (WSL), United Women’s Soccer (UWS) and other prep and amateur leagues, plus various levels of the U.S. youth club soccer scene, such as MLS Next Academy, Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), Elite-64/National League (E64/NL), Michigan State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA) and others.

PMG is continuing to bring in coverage to more leagues and associations and strengthen relationships and partnerships in various other leagues and associations in a multitude of states.

With its national affiliate, National Soccer Network, PMG will be able to deliver live broadcasts of games, live in-studio shows, on-location shows, commercials, and contests and tournaments not just throughout Michigan, but the Midwest and the nation in the upcoming months.

PMG has already conducted more than 1,400 live games in around three years of time, with 100s of broadcasts, weekly and monthly shows, and more set to air this fall on the Michigan Soccer Network’s YouTube channel and the National Soccer Network’s Roku channel. The NSN Roku channel had a soft-launch at the beginning of September 2024, but will eventually turn into to a 24-hour network on Roku come January of 2025.

The Roku channel will include not just live games of various levels of the soccer pyramid, live shows and pre-recorded shows, but the airing of classic games and repeats of games and tournaments that the PMG crew has conducted live broadcasts will air throughout the course of a 24-hour day. All games and shows will be aired on Roku and YouTube except for live games for Michigan High School Athletic Association member schools, where games must be streamed on both the MSN YouTube channel and the NFHS Network.

PMG also launched its Player Recruitment Videos department back in April of this year to help young aspiring soccer players gain additional exposure to colleges, higher levels of club, amateur and pre-

professional leagues.

PMG is currently seeking additional freelance producers, camera operators, sportswriters, interns (both high school upperclassmen and college students) who are interested of entering the arena of sports media, including multiple avenues.

Long-term, PMG will also be creating a broadcast school to help train future broadcast journalists and writers and give them an avenue to build and hone their skillset in Michigan and across the country covering the beautiful game.

“We will remain based in Michigan, but the demand for our product and services is being requested all over the country,” added Turner. “We have already done games not just all over Michigan but in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, California and Virginia and the requests for us to help conduct broadcasts or assist teams in doing so is at an all-time high and is growing every month. The demand is there.”
