SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The Michigan Stars came into an agreement earlier this week to partner up with the Michigan Soccer Network and to have MSN conduct their home broadcasts for its pro men’s soccer team.

The agreement becomes effective this month and will serve the Michigan Stars professional franchise, which competes in the National Independent Soccer Association.

“The Michigan Soccer Network is excited to partner with the Michigan Stars Pro Team to elevate their existing NISA broadcasts and deliver a better overall game viewing experience for the fans of NISA,” said Jonathan Turner, Director of Broadcasting for the Premier Media Group and its flagship production, the Michigan Soccer Network.

Additionally, the Michigan Soccer Network will begin hosting a Michigan Stars Recap Show each week beginning on May 20, and featuring a wide variety of guests from the Michigan Stars franchise along with MSN staff members. The show will run in a similar format as MSN’s Weekly DCFC Recap Show, which began in late March.

MSN’s first home broadcast for the Michigan Stars will take place May 18 at Romeo High School, the Stars’ home field for 2024. The Stars are currently atop the NISA Group A standings with a 4-0-0 record and a 10-4 scoring edge in conference play so far this season.

Since its first broadcast in May of 2021 and since the formation of parent company Premier Media Group (PMG), the Michigan Soccer Network (MSN) has gained traction as one of the leading media sources in the state for soccer and is emerging as a news hub for all things soccer in Michigan. The staff at MSN, which features two full-time employees and over 30 freelance videographers, play-by-play announcers and color analysts, production mangers, freelance writers, interns, sales personal and more, has now conducted nearly 1,000 broadcasts around the state, Midwest and country over the last three years.

MSN is also under contract to handle home broadcasts this summer for the USL League Two members Michigan Bucks and the newly-created Union FC Macomb, USL-W member AFC Flint, along with numerous other contracts for various youth clubs and associations, adult amateur teams and leagues, and select high school games and tournaments across the state of Michigan.
