MONDAY’S PREP GIRLS SOCCER ROUNDUP: Forest Hills Central edges East Grand Rapids; Stevensville Lakeshore rolls; Stevenson slips past L’Anse Creuse
EAST GRAND RAPIDS – It was just 10 months ago when East Grand Rapids dethroned 2022 Division 2 state champion Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central 3-0 in a regional semifinals clash.
On Monday, Forest Hills Central gained its measure of revenge.
The fifth-ranked Rangers scored an early first-half goal and the Forest Hills Central defense made it stand in a 1-0 victory over host and No. 3-ranked East Grand Rapids in a Ottawa Kent Conference White Division clash.
Haley Ward scored off a pass from Syd Ryan for Forest Hills Central (6-2-1, 3-1-0), which recorded its sixth shutout of the campaign and has outscored the opposition 16-7. Addison Reuter recorded the clean sheet in goal.
East Grand Rapids (5-3-1, 3-1-0) owns a 29-6 scoring edge but came up short this time.

STEVENSVILLE-LAKESHORE 8, BATTLE CREEK CENTRAL 0: The Lancers scored six first-half goals and added two more in the mercy-shortened second half as they cruised to this Southwestern Michigan Athletic Conference victory. Mia Bradley netted three goals with an assist to pace Lakeshore. Makena Mihalik and Kassidy Jackson both scored twice and Jennah White netted the other goal. Preslee Perkins and Abby Hoss picked up two assists apiece and Sophie DeLaForet and Gabby Ceru combined tor the shutout.
STERLING HEIGHTS STEVENSON 1, HARRISON TOWNSHIP L’ANSE CREUSE 0: Stevenson moved to 4-5-0 and 2-3-0 in MAC-white Division play with this second consecutive league win Monday. Isabelle Reda scored in the 80th minute off an assist from Presley Jones, Maria Micakaj and Chloe Nissan starred defensively and Diana Marku recorded the clean sheet for the Titans.
BRIGHTON LIVINGSTON CHRISTIAN 9, BRIGHTON CHARYL STOCKWELL ACADEMY 2: In a battle of small schools in the Brighton area, Livingston Christian made a statement with this lopsided non-league win Monday.
ST. CLAIR 8, CLAWSON 2: The Saints kept pace in the Macomb Area Conference-Blue Division with this win Monday. St. Claif is 5-1-0 overall and in the league, sitting in second place. The Saints own a 27-6 scoring edge.
MIDLAND 3, DAVISON 1: Midland remained in the Saginaw Valley League title chase with this win Monday.
UTICA EISENHOWER 4, MACOMB L’ANSE CREUSE NORTH 0: Defending MAC-Red Division champion continued its winning ways within the division with this shutout win Monday over the Crusaders. Ellera Jakubowski added to her torrid pace with two more goals for the Eagles and Ava Dukaj also recorded the brace and assisted on one goal for Eisenhower (4-1-1, 1-0-0), which now owns a 30-4 scoring edge. Molly Mellott notched the shutout between the pipes.
ANN ARBOR PIONEER 18, YPSILANTI LINCOLN 0: Pioneer snapped a three-game skid with this lopsided Southeastern Conference-Red Division victory. Pioneer (6-3-0, 5-2-0) has now outscored its foes 45-11.
