FRIDAY’S PREP GIRLS SOCCER ROUNDUP: Eisenhower rolls past Fraser; Rochester wins Falcons Cup; New Boston Huron remains unbeaten



UTICA, Mich. – Utica Eisenhower scored early and often in recording a 8-0 Macomb Area Conference crossover win Friday over Fraser.


Ellera Jakubowski and Maryn Smith both scored two goals to lead the way. Ava Ducaj, Priti Chahil, Sam Losh, Hadley Farr and Sonja Patterson had single goals for the Eagles (3-1-1), who have outscored the opposition 26-4 this season and recorded their second clean sheet.


ROCHESTER 4, UTICA FORD 1: A few years ago the athletics departments between Rochester and Utica ford agreed to schedule non-league games in a variety of sports and call if the Falcons Cup, as both schools boast Falcons as their nickname. On the soccer pitch Friday, it was Rochester that earned the upper hand. Kiely Robinson scored two goals with Gabriella Martin and Kaitlyn Guolla netting one goal apiece to pace Rochester (4-1-2).

NEW BOSTON HURON 4, DEARBORN DIVINE CHILD 0: Gabriella Emelian netted the natural hattrick and Huron cruised to this non-league shutout Friday. Ava Banko scored the first goal which proved to be the game winner for the Chiefs, who are now 4-0-1 on the season with four shutouts. New Boston Huron has outscored its five foes by a 30-3 count.

EAST GRAND RAPIDS 1, RICHLAND GULL LAKE 1: Division 2 fourth-ranked East Grand Rapids and third-ranked Richland Gull Lake battled to this non-league tie featuring two of the state’s top teams overall.

HART 2, WHITEHALL 1: Rilynn Porter and Brianna Arjona scored and Breslyn Porter drew an assist for Har in this West Michigan Conference. Emma Jeffries made seven saves for Hart, which defeated Whitehall for the first time since 2014.

ALMONT 5, CROSWELL-LEXINGTON 0: Lola Battaglia scored a pair of goals in this BWAC victory. Callie McCarthy added a goal and an assist while Jesse Kautz and Natalie Radisavljevic also scored for Almont.

GLADWIN 3, BRETHREN 0: Brethren goalkeeper Kara Smith made 28 saves in this NMSL loss to Gladwin.

BAD AXE 8, ELKTON-PIGEON-BAY PORT-LAKER 0: Maddie Jordan scored three goals and assisted on three others as Bad Axe cruised to this Greater Thumb Conference win. Mikaela Boyle netted the brace, Sarah Howard had a goal and two assists and Amber Booms and Emma Bucholtz added single tallies for Bad Axe (3-0-0, 3-0-0).
