MICHIGAN SUBURBAN SOCCER COACHES ASSOCIATION BOYS STATE SOCCER TOURNAMENT 1972-1981; GIRLS STATE TOURNAMENT 1978-1982:
(The Michigan Suburban Soccer Coaches Association sponsored the boys soccer state tournament from 1975-1981 before the MHSAA took over sanctioning the sport in 1982. Prior to 1972, there were a couple of dozen soccer programs in Michigan during the 1960s and early 1970s that competed in the sport but there was no state-wide tournament in place. Coaches, former players, fans, and historians that have information, scores and results from any of the state tournaments from 1975-1981 can submit those final scores to Michigan Soccer Network Web and Content Editor Dan Stickradt at stickradt@michigansoccedrnetwork.com or text to 248-884-1051.)
