OUTLOOK / NOTABLES / COACHES COMMENTS: Bath is another school that competed as an Independent in the Lansing area last season, as dozens of schools have been on the mood in terms of switching conferences. This school year four of the eight members of the Central Michigan Athletic Conference have girls soccer, so there will be a six-game conference schedule sprinkled around a batch of non-league games. Through April 18, the Fighting Bees registered a 2-1-1 start with two shutouts and a 8-4 scoring edge.
SCHOOL: Dansville
HEAD COACH: Marcus Charlick
2022 OVERALL RECORD / LEAGUE RECORD / LEAGUE FINISH: 6-15-0, Independent (no conference last school year)
2022 STATE TOURNAMENT RESULTS: Def. Jackson Christian (9-1); lost to Lansing Christian (9-0) in a D-4 district finals.

RETURNING STARTERS: Bella Baker, soph. F; Allie Grice, sr. F; Marissa Nottingham, sr. F
OTHER KEY RETURNEES:
KEY NEWCOMERS: Taylor Doerr, fr. M
OUTLOOK / NOTABLES / COACHES COMMENTS: While Dansville’s boys soccer team reached the Division 4 Final Four back in 2019, the Aggies have not had as much success on the girls soccer pitch. Dansville is coming off just a six-win season but has a solid core of returnees and one freshman that has aided the attack.
SCHOOL: Laingsburg
HEAD COACH: Natalie Elkins
2022 OVERALL RECORD / LEAGUE RECORD / LEAGUE FINISH: 16-6-0, 7-2-0 Greater Lansing Activities Conference (departed league last summer)
2022 STATE TOURNAMENT RESULTS: Def. Montrose (6-3); def. Bath (6-0, district finals); def. Saginaw Valley Lutheran (2-0; SVL was ranked No. 1 in the state); lost to Bad Axe (3-2) in the D-4 regional finals.

KEY NEWCOMERS: Madison Phillips, fr. M; Tanit Pons, sr. F; Addison Rusz, fr. M; Ivy Collier, soph. M
OUTLOOK / NOTABLES / COACHES COMMENTS: Despite being unranked, Laingsburg made a run to the regional finals (Elite Eight) last season and finished with 16 wins. The Wolfpack also finished second to state-ranked Lansing Christian in their final year in the Greater Lansing Activities Conference. This year the team is in the four-school Central Michigan Athletic Conference but is trying to replace 12 players gone to graduation, including nine starters. Laingsburg has several underclassmen that have helped drive a 5-0-0 start through April 18 that includes two shutouts and a 34-4 scoring edge.
SCHOOL: Potterville

2022 OVERALL RECORD / LEAGUE RECORD / LEAGUE FINISH: 2-10-0, Independent

OUTLOOK / NOTABLES / COACHES COMMENTS: Potterville’s girls soccer program has been around for less than a decade, but the small-school Vikings have yet to yield any consistency or gain any traction. So far this season Potterville has started 0-5-1 and given up 28 goals. The Vikings are now part of the four-school CMAC and will play a six-game conference schedule after competing as an independent last season.
