2022 OVERALL RECORD / LEAGUE RECORD / LEAGUE FINISH: 6-13-1, 0-10-0 BNC (sixth)

OTHER KEY RETURNEES: Isabella Hogan, jr. M
KEY NEWCOMERS:
OUTLOOK / NOTABLES / COACHES COMMENTS: Things were a little rough during Gregg Supiran’s first season at the helm. The Wildcats only won six games and were winless in the BNC. Alpena has some young talent climbing the ranks that would like nothing better than to post some upsets this year and help the Wildcats climb the latter in the BNC.
SCHOOL: Cadillac

2022 OVERALL RECORD / LEAGUE RECORD / LEAGUE FINISH: 16-4-4, 6-2-2 BNC (second)
2022 STATE TOURNAMENT RESULTS: Def. Bay City Western (1-0); def. Petoskey (3-0, district finals); lost to Spring Lake (2-1) in D-2 regional semifinals
STATE CHAMPIONSHIP SEASONS: None

OTHER KEY RETURNEES: Mairyn Kinnie, jr. F
KEY NEWCOMERS: Onalee Wallis, jr. D; Taylor Pennoni, soph. M; Kyah Narovich, soph. F; Sophia Clough, fr. M
OUTLOOK / NOTABLES / COACHES COMMENTS: One of Cadillac’s best seasons to date included a runner-up finish in the BNC, a district championship and 16 wins. With only three returning starters and a large crop of varsity newcomers, it may be a rebuilding campaign following a slow start.
SCHOOL: Gaylord
HEAD COACH: Christopher Adams

2022 STATE TOURNAMENT RESULTS: Def. Bay City John Glenn (5-0); lost to Petoskey (2-1) in D-2 district semifinals

OTHER KEY RETURNEES:
KEY NEWCOMERS:
OUTLOOK / NOTABLES / COACHES COMMENTS: Gaylord finished with a respectable 11 wins last year and finished third in the BNC. There were several losses to graduation which should open the door of opportunity for younger players to step up.
SCHOOL: Petoskey

2022 OVERALL RECORD / LEAGUE RECORD / LEAGUE FINISH: 10-7-2, 3-5-2 BNC (fifth)
2022 STATE TOURNAMENT RESULTS: Def. Gaylord (2-1); lost to Cadillac (3-0) in D-2 district finals

KEY NEWCOMERS: Clara Mailloix, soph.; Lauren Cole, jr. D; Annia Gandhi, jr.
OUTLOOK / NOTABLES / COACHES COMMENTS: With a solid core back, a rising prospect in goal, and some quality newcomers bodes well for Petoskey as it tries to do some damage in D-2.
SCHOOL: Traverse City Central
HEAD COACH: Charlie Needham
2022 OVERALL RECORD / LEAGUE RECORD / LEAGUE FINISH: 8-7-5, 3-4-3 BNC (fourth)
2022 STATE TOURNAMENT RESULTS: Def. Bay City Central (4-3); lost to Midland Dow (2-0) in D-1 district semifinals
STATE CHAMPIONSHIP SEASONS: None
STATE RUNNER-UP SEASONS: None
RETURNING STARTERS: Tessa Petty, soph. M (All-League First Team); Hannah Abner, sr. D (All-League Second Team; committed to Alma College); Maddie Bartlett, sr. M (All-League Second Team); Amelia Jordan, soph. (All-League Second Team); Alexandra Lewis, sr. F; Elizabeth Thaxton, sr. F; Madalyn Sivier, sr. D; Calla Behrmann, jr. D; Addison Booher, jr. OTHER KEY RETURNEES: Nora Madion, jr. M; Lucia France, soph. D;
KEY NEWCOMERS: Ellie Shenkelberger, soph. M
OUTLOOK / NOTABLES / COACHES COMMENTS: The good news for the Trojans is that they are experienced at the varsity level. TCC brings back 12 players that started games last season, including four that earned either first-team or second-team All-BNC honors, and 14 total players are back in uniform. That alone brings optimism for a team that finished fourth in the league last season and lost in the district semifinals. The Trojans started 2-3-0 overall with four of those five games being decided by one goal. TCC has defeated both Saginaw Heritage (6-1) and Mt. Pleasant (2-1).
SCHOOL: Traverse City West
HEAD COACH: Ed Fantozzi, first season
2022 OVERALL RECORD / LEAGUE RECORD / LEAGUE FINISH: 13-4-4, 7-1-2 BNC (first)

M (All-District, signed with William Penn University in Iowa); Onalee Gustafson, sr. M (Bethel University); Jenna Rawlings, sr. M; Lila Warren, jr. M; Mia Dungan, jr. M; Beatrice Rooks, jr. D; Lily Smith, jr. F; Hayden Buttleman, jr. M; Mikayla Thompson, jr. M; Gianna Primo, jr. D; Gwen Allore, soph. G
OTHER KEY RETURNEES: Abigail Carmien, soph. D; Dillyn Mohr, soph. M; Cameron Slagert, soph. M; Reagan LaCross, soph. F; Sadie Wares, soph. D
KEY NEWCOMERS: Avery Plummer, fr. F; Paula Liebmann, sr. F (foreign exchange student)
OUTLOOK / NOTABLES / COACHES COMMENTS: The good news for the Titans is they return almost everybody back from last year’s team that won league and district titles behind 13 wins and reached the Division 1 regional semifinals. Several of those players were starters are played quality minutes off the bench and three of those players will be on college rosters in the fall. In all 17 players return to the varsity roster. The Titans also welcome in a promising freshman and an exchange student who will both see regular minutes. TCW started the campaign 2-1-1 with the loss coming against state-ranked Troy Athens. After leading Boyne City to the Division 3 state runner-up in 2021, Ed Fantozzi takes the reigns for the Titans. "This is a group of determined ladies who are poised to be a sleeper in the postseason. The right blend of talent from the front to back with a great mix of skill sets to keep an opponent on their heels. A beutiful group of girls and a pleasure to have the opportunity to work with all of them," said coach Ed Fantozzi.
